Swap File

Use the Swap File command to load in (or swap) a new macro (.kex) file with the use of a hotkey. This is the same as performing a "File > Open" from the Keyboard Express menu and opening another macro file.

This particular function can be quite handy when using multiple sets of macro files created for different tasks, users, etc. Select a hotkey to automatically load in a specific user's set of macros or a set of macros for a given task.

Note: When loading a Read Only file, the Default Action selected in the Read Only Prompt preference panel will be used. The Keyboard Express Player will not notify you during macro playback that you are loading a Read Only file. If the Explorer window is open while the macro runs, you may receive a Read Only prompt, depending on the settings selected in the Preference panel.

Keyboard Express - Editor > Swap File

Select a File to Load
Either type in the full path of the macro file that the macro should load or use the Browse button to locate the file on the drive.
