A macro is a program that lets you record keystrokes and other commands. Later, with a single keystroke, you can play back this string of activities at a much faster speed, eliminating the wasted time and the risk of error that usually accompany the performance of repetitive tasks.

Keyboard Express lets you configure over 700 hot keys to trigger your macros. Run macros to enter text, launch programs, enter date and time stamps, and much more. Macros can also be scheduled to run at Windows startup, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and more.

With Keyboard Express, play back macros in repeat loops, insert symbols, play sounds, and even insert text via the clipboard. Import or export macros to quickly share macros among friends or co-workers. Print a list of macro hot keys for easy reference. Include timed delays or pauses in the macros, embed remarks to clarify macro usage, and display instructions for users during pauses. Keyboard Express gives you the ability to abort a macro, pause and restart a macro, load a macro file from within a macro, and create multiple macro files.

Version 3.0 of Keyboard Express has a totally new "look and feel", in addition to the many new features under the hood. With a revamped scheduling function macros can be played back using almost any type of schedule. A new "Web site" command lets users create macros that can load a browser and go to specific online sites. A new date and time format command has been added so almost any format can be created. There are new "wait" commands to help with the playback timing of macros. And, on top of adding more available hot keys, there is also a "recycle bin." Deleted macros stay in the recycle bin until you remove them or restore deleted macros with just a simple mouse click.
